Frequently Asked Questions

Our company needs a website. What's involved?

When a website is being developed, these three things happen simultaneously:

  • Design - The look and feel of the site is determined and the html pages are created. If the client already has a graphic identity (which is often found in their printed materials), the designer will use that as a starting point. If the client does not have a graphic identity, CH Web Design does provide custom graphic design, including a corporate logo.
  • Content - The text is written and pre-existing images (logos, photos) are gathered.
  • Hosting - The domain name is registered and an account is set up with a hosting company. The choice is yours, but based upon seven years of experience with various hosting companies, we recommend iPowerWeb Hosting's Business Plan for $94.50 per year.

Where do I get a domain name (URL)?

There are several companies on the Web that handle domain name registration. We recommend that you register your domain name with the same company you use for hosting.
